Jeff Floyd has over thirty years of experience working with business owners, safety professionals, and supervisors developing, implementing, and maintaining loss control plans and employee training programs. During that time Jeff has worked within a broad range of industries throughout Kentucky and encountered a varied assortment of unique scenarios and situations that relate to safety and workers’ compensation.

Joe Allen has worked with KEMI since 2004. He has been with the safety and loss control team for 12 years. Prior to that time, Joe worked with the claims department as a senior claim examiner. Prior to his time with KEMI, he worked as a safety coordinator in the hospitality industry where he conducted safety inspections and conducted safety training.

Joe Allen

Zach Boggs is a native of Hazard, Kentucky, and brings to KEMI a wide range of occupational safety experience in manufacturing, heavy equipment operations, logging and other areas of general industry. Prior to joining KEMI’s Loss Education team, Zach served as a safety director in the automotive manufacturing industry and had the opportunity to manage all aspects of a successful safety and health program.

Zach Boggs

Rhea Hatfield has been with KEMI since January 2018. Before joining the Loss Education and Safety Team, she worked as a Call Director in the Center for Assistance where she handled customer service calls. A native of Lexington, Rhea attended Transylvania University, where she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Business Management and a minor in Studio Art.  Prior to working at Kemi, she worked for the Lexington Police Department as a Traffic Safety Officer and with Cinemark Theatres.

Rhea Hatfield

Eli Roberts has been with KEMI for over 20 years. Before joining the Safety and Loss Control Team, he worked as a claims examiner and provided resolution of claim matters for policyholders and injured workers. In addition to obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Assets Protection Management and a master’s degree in Loss Prevention and Safety from Eastern Kentucky University, Eli is a Certified Safety and Health Specialist in Construction through the OSHA Training Institute.

Eli Roberts

Jimmy started his career in the mining industry as a general laborer/equipment operator in October of 1993, where he filled many underground positions and eventually moved to the Engineering department with the survey and permitting crew. His commitment to keeping our workforce safe, along with his experience in all aspects of mining will benefit both KEMI and our policyholders to reach our common goal for “Excellence in Safety”.
