KEMI Hosting Fifth Annual Mine Safety Event
For the fifth year in a row Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance will host the KEMI Mine Safety & Training Competition in Pikeville, KY. The event will be held July 9-12, 2012 at Bob Amos Park. The competition has grown to be the largest annual mine safety event in the nation, rivaling the National competition which takes place every two years.
The event will feature Mine Rescue, Pre-Shift, Bench and MET competitions. It is expected to draw nearly 500 competitors representing nearly 50 coal companies from Alabama, Illinois, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
KEMI will also host a charity golf tournament on Monday, July 9 at Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, KY. To learn more about this charity event, click here.
